Arriving in Crete
There are few scheduled flights direct from Britain to Crete, so most travel will involve transfers in Athens, although British Airways does offer a seasonal service to Heraklion. Alternatively you may wish to take a charter flight, check CharterFlightsCentre and FlightLine to see if any flights are available at the right time for you.Should you be unable to travel directly to Crete, there is no shortage of carriers flying from Britain to Athens, giving you an excellent excuse to visit the historic capital of Greece. Airlines flying directly to Athens from Britain include British Airways, bmi and the low-cost carrier EasyJet. The Greek carrier Olympic also flies direct to Athens from London Heathrow.
If you plan to fly from Athens to Crete, the Greek carriers Olympic and Aegan both offer regular scheduled flights from Athens International Airport to Crete. The closest airport to the hotel is Chania, but more frequent flights are available to Heraklion Airport, on the eastern side of the island.
Alternatively you may wish to take a ferry to Crete, Anek lines offers regular overnight ferries from Pireaus (a port south west of Athens) to Chania and Rethymo, giving you the opportunity to arrive refreshed, relaxed and ready to explore the island. Check timings here.

Getting to the Hotel
Hire cars are available at most ports and airports in Crete, Avis and Europcar are well known international companies operating on the island.If you plan to leave the driving to someone else, the hotel is approximately fifty kilometers from Chania and taxis should cost in the region of fifty-sixty Euros. The port of Rethymo is twenty-two kilometers away, with taxis costs in the region of twenty euros.
